Our Business and Supply Chain
BT Scaffolding provides scaffolding design, erection, and dismantling services across Ireland and Northern Ireland. Our work involves materials, logistics, and labour supplied by a range of trusted partners and subcontractors.
We carefully select and monitor our suppliers to ensure they share our commitment to ethical working practices and compliance with employment law.
Policies and Procedures
To support our commitment to preventing modern slavery, we have implemented internal procedures that include:
- Vetting and due diligence checks on new suppliers and subcontractors.
- Clear contractual requirements for compliance with anti-slavery legislation.
- Transparent recruitment and employment practices that protect workers from exploitation.

Employee Awareness and Responsibility
All employees are made aware of our zero-tolerance stance on modern slavery. We provide guidance to help them recognise potential warning signs of exploitation within the industry.
Managers and supervisors are expected to promote ethical behaviour, encourage open discussion, and report any concerns immediately to senior management.
Training and Communication
We ensure that relevant members of staff and management understand the risks of modern slavery and know how to respond appropriately.
Training and updates are provided when necessary to reinforce awareness and compliance.
Reporting Concerns
Any employee, contractor, or supplier who suspects that modern slavery or human trafficking is taking place within our business or supply chain is encouraged to report it immediately.
Reports can be made directly to management or via email to info@btscaffolding.ie. We will treat all concerns seriously, investigate promptly, and take appropriate action.
We will never penalise anyone for raising a concern in good faith.
Continuous Improvement
We are committed to continually improving our approach to tackling modern slavery. Our systems, policies, and supplier relationships are reviewed regularly to identify any risks and strengthen controls.
We also work with industry partners to promote ethical standards and best practice throughout the construction and scaffolding sectors.
Review and Responsibility
This policy is reviewed annually by BT Scaffolding’s management team to ensure it remains effective and up to date with legislation and business developments.
All staff, subcontractors, and suppliers are expected to read, understand, and uphold this policy. Compliance is a condition of working with BT Scaffolding.
